Connect and Trust, Body Prayer Ritual

We’ve just passed through the threshold time of the Leo New Moon and are still in the shadows of this energy, presencing us to the heart in all its vastness.

The heart is a threshold space, a liminal space, an in-between space where the above and below meet, where the inner and outer meet in trust and faith. Come here to the altar of your heart, open to the Great Mystery.

Interlace your hands over your heart with your thumbs pointing upwards. This is a gesture of trust and faith. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. This is a breath of connection. Feel the tides of your breath, linking you to the tides of life, ebbing and flowing. Connect and trust in your ability to love, to receive and let go. Connect and trust in your ability to move through, all the way through, whatever life is asking of you. Feel the pulse of your heart under your hands. Experience the gentle movement of your breath under your hands. Stay for awhile. Linger a moment. Find refuge. Be held. Abide in this, the mystery of the unbound heart, full and vast.

Rest in the heart space. Name that which you love, that which you’ve lost, and that which you long for. Awaken and surrender to what is here in your heart, gentle towards all that is…letting live what is living, letting die what is dying…awakening and surrendering.
