36. mystical musing: Peace Dance

(inspired by the Libra Full Moon of 2017)

Create within yourself a haven for surrender, an inner sanctum where you are free to move and live and breathe and speak and sing in any which way. Open to the Mystery of this embodied life. This Mystery is all around and within, inviting us into spaces that flicker with shadow and light, fire and ice, highs and lows. Herein lies the power to transform wounds, awaken latent powers, and discover true healing.

This is not just about our personal journeys of healing, but a planetary transformation and awakening. We are arriving at a crisis point, a point of Choice that calls the deepest parts of ourselves to the surface. No more hiding. No more denying. It’s time we open to the beauty as well as the festering, gruesome underbelly of humanity. May we all rise to the occasion with courageous hearts in service of Peace.

You see, we will not find a peaceful balance through bland neutralization of the polarities. Reconsider balance as a dancer on point shoes spinning and leaping in near constant motion, at the edge of chaos, yet poised and able to stop still in less than a breath. Sometimes alone on the stage, sometimes in partnership or with a full corps de ballet…she dances. She makes art out of tragedy.

So, make art out of this life. Dance, like nobody is watching. Dance, like you can transform anything and everything.

“This Dance”
We have come to be danced
Not the “I am pretty, pick me, pick me! dance
But the claw our way back into the belly
Of the sacred, sensual animal dance
The unhinged, unplugged, cat is out of its bag dance
The holding of the precious moments in the palms
Of our hands and feet dance.

We have come to be danced
Not the nice, invisible, self-conscious little shuffle
But the matted hair flying, voodoo mama
Shaman shaking, ancient bones dance
The strip us from our prison, returning our wings
Sharpening our claws and tongue dance
That shed dead cells as we slip into
The luminous skin of love dance.

We have come to be danced
Where the kingdoms collide
In the cathedral of flesh
To burn back into the light
To unravel, to play, to fly, to pray
To root in skin sanctuary
We have come to be danced!
We have come…
Jewel Mathieson

Yes, we have come and in being here, we are invited to be danced. Dance, and make an offering of yourself to the healing of this world. May all beings be free. May all beings be happy. May all beings know Peace.
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.

Blessed be,
Jennifer

* The Guided Meditation this week is for Peace. Peace Above. Peace Below. Peace within. Peace without.
