The Spring Equinox - Ostara - is on March 20, 2017. I love this betwixt and between time of year, when the polarities come into balance. We stand here in this space where light and dark are present in equal measure - a portal of the mystical and miraculous.
Spring…it beckons to the heart: Soften. Melt the cold shield of protection. Step from the dark cave of winter. Awaken to the light of love! Listen to the songs of dawn - “birdlight” - as the birds announce the rising of the sun. The Sun, The Sun, he comes again today! Oh, what joy! Listen to the birdsong at dusk, too as the sun sinks into the sea. Goodbye for now.
Birds are messengers, angelos (Greek word for “messenger”), angels, harbingers of a radiant day, and luminous night, ones who fly betwixt and between the worlds of earth and sky, night and day. They remind us to find delight in the everyday miracles.
Marianne Williamson says this of miracles: “In asking for miracles, we are seeking a practical goal: a return to inner peace. We’re not asking for something outside us to change, but for something inside us to change. We’re looking for a softer orientation to life.”
A softer orientation to life…this is Ostara, Spring Equinox, a place between the worlds where miracles come through. As we enter into this Equinox portal, follow your taproot down into the underground Truth that nourishes. Travel the pillar of light upward into the all-pervasive energy that enlivens. Go into the secret spaces of your mind, heart and body. Feel yourself as a miracle, a bridge of conscious evolution, a light in the darkness, a beacon of renewed hope.
